Assistant Accountant

We are looking to add an up‑and‑coming part‑qualified accountant to our team of six. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work closely with the wider business, providing support across payroll, month‑end close, balance sheet reconciliations, revenue recognition, bank reconciliations and the preparation of management accounts, as well as assisting with other ad‑hoc tasks as required.
We are seeking a proactive individual with a can‑do attitude who is willing to get stuck in, take initiative, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment. This role will be hands‑on and cover a broad range of finance activities, so we are looking for someone who is committed to excel across all areas. The role is ideal for someone who is already studying towards a finance qualification and is looking to develop their career in a challenging and fast‑moving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll support for our US, Germany & UK payrolls
Balance sheet reconciliation
Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
Month end tasks
Bank Reconciliation support
Employee Expenses
About you:
Intermediate to Advanced Excel and Outlook skills
Experience using Finance and Accounting Software
Experience working in a fast-paced professional services environment (desirable)
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive under pressure.
Strong communicator, able to influence and build relationships across the business.
Understanding of basic accounting principles and revenue recognition
Strong task management skills and the ability to see tasks through to completion
Commercial awareness and approach
Qualifications:
Partly qualified in any of the following (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with the intention to complete studies during employment.
