Senior Consultant- Construction

We are experiencing growth across all categories but specifically within Construction and Capital Project Procurement and we are seeing significant expansion across the US. Key Responsibilities:
· Lead Category Delivery Teams on Client Engagements, build strong relationships across client organizations, influencing decision-making at all levels to drive strategic outcomes
· Analyze client spend to identify and estimate cost savings opportunities across new capital construction, facility upgrades, leasehold improvements and infrastructure installation
· Design and propose procurement strategies that deliver maximum value and deliver on client imperatives (i.e. safety, quality, on-time delivery), leveraging market insights, experience and leading practices
· Foster collaboration across client organizations, (i.e. procurement, architecture/engineering, operations) contractors and Proxima to execute project objectives and achieve project sourcing and savings goals
· Oversee supplier relationships and stakeholder engagement throughout project lifecycles, ensuring success and improved performance
· Develop negotiation strategies with clients and lead discussions with architects, engineers and contractors; providing commercial guidance on contract structures, project delivery models and terms and conditions
· Coordinate the development of transition plans to manage key contractors entering and exiting a client’s business
· Monitor and construction procurement and project delivery trends to enhance Proxima assets and supporting world-class project delivery
· Mentor junior team members, support their career growth, career advancement and development of construction and construction contract acumen across the company
Your Experience: utilities, buildings, contracting, marking
· Experience working with large construction projects or construction-oriented portfolios and the ecosystem of contractors, subcontractors and other suppliers that support them; specifically in manufacturing, utility, petrochemical or other heavy industries
· Experience developing construction contracting strategies, choosing optimal contract type and project delivery models, executing competitive tenders and performing final contractor selections
· Ability to demonstrate strong procurement acumen and leading multi-stakeholder teams to measurable outcomes; driving value from traditional procurement and through identifying broader operational improvements in the business
· Ability to demonstrate success in challenging the status quo and driving transformation and operational improvement
· Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analytics, with the ability to present insights that influence decisions
· Exceptional planning, negotiation, and communication skills (written and verbal)
